Artist's Comments

I finally got around to finishing this piece. I gave the model's eyes a cat-like slant and altered her pupils and irises. I placed some pointed ears into the image, poking through her hair. I textured the model's nose and moved her nose/mouth down toward her chin. I added small claws growing from her fingertips. Finally, I worked with the skin around the model's eyes, nose and brow, making it look slightly puffy and more feline.

Thank you for all the helpful comments and suggestions. When I posted this piece as scrap I really didn't think I would end up liking the finished piece very much but I ended up quite happy with it. I will probably make a few more minor changes here and there but overall it is complete.

Since her mouth is open, perhaps some fangs are in order?

I love th eyes! Their very realistic and the slight change to the nose and upper lip is very well done.

thats awsome great work iam jelous of her tho lol

Thanks for the suggestion. I believe there are some lower fangs already. Top fangs may not make sense if the swelling lip covers them.

I still don't think the eyes are shaped correctly...the lids need to be more almond shaped...but thanks! The nose and lip I think work well!

The connection of the nose to the forehead could be smoothed quite a bit. There's a definite break there at teh moment.

Well, I like it, so :P *laughs* Sorry, your correct about the shape but the design work of the eyes themselves is still very good! I can't create eyes like yours, i've tried in the past and they always end up looking fake or odd. As for the rest, I still envy your work, even when there are only slight changes. You seem to be able to change and move features and still keep the realism. Many photo-morphing artists use the smudge feature and never correct the lighting or texture, resulting in a very fake looking morph. I usually try to keep from using....good grief, i'm rambling again. Sorry, ummm...well, again I still think it looks good so far.

I did see some sharpness to the lower teeth, so all is well. Good note on the upper set.

I think the eyes need to be more horizantally long, they seem a bit small at the moment compared to her broad nose bridge and forehead. I love the bottom teeth so far, those are just about finished as far as I can tell. The underpart of the nose seems like it has strange light areas or coloration like foundation spots or something. On the right hand side of the image, her eyelashes seem really off...like they are over thick like cardboard or almost flat against her eye. Hmmm something about the middle of the thick area of her new brow bone seems a bit strange, maybe it needs a slight split like a cat has? I definetly think the nose needs that split, or the start of one from the bottom of the middle of nose working on up since she already has the texture. Actually I never really thought of cats as having such prominent texture to their noses... they are very soft with a subtle texture. Hmmm I hope this helps any at all, love the work you have done so far!
