Description

This began as a beautiful piece of stock which I could not resist manipulating. I started with the eyes, making them larger and altering their shape and color. Then I added the feline pupils. Next, I tackled the jaw and mouth. I pulled the chin up a bit and shaped the lips to look more feline as well. As a final touch to the mouth, I added some shadow and highlight to give the model a split lip, or at least make it looks as if it was in the process of splitting.

I think the fur works well. It helps blend the photo together better and matches the model's dark hair. As you can see, I added some whiskers as well. I don't mind them and they do enhance the model's feline attributes although something about them bothers me a bit and I don't know what that is.

As a final touch to the piece, I added a subtle texture and color to the model's nose. I had originally planned on changing the shape of her nostrils, etc but every time I tried, it didn't look like the model any more. She has a wonderfully unique nose that I felt should remain the same shape despite her 'transformation' so I left it alone.

My only real regret with this piece is the lack of ears in the photo. The way it was cropped, there wasn't room to add them so I did not. Please just assume that there are two poiny litte ears sitting within the model's hair somewhere.

The wonderful stock image comes from . Her art account is .

***Update***
I thinned out the whiskers some and played around with their opacity. They look a bit more realistic to me now.

Done using Photoshop 7.0.

Please Full-view...you'll miss detail if you don't!

I have to say this is the best I have ever seen. I don't know how you do it, but you are extremely talented. If you enjoy doing this I urge you to continue.
No one, if not a select few, have ever, ever come close to the quality that you instill in all your artwork.
