Gallery Issues

Journal Entry: Thu Jul 17, 2008, 5:53 AM
  • Mood: Sadness
Many of you have noticed that much of my gallery has been removed.

Over the past few months I have discovered that quite a bit of my artwork has been posted on websites other than deviantArt without my permission.

Out of respect for my model, I have chosen to remove all photomanipulations of her (there may be a few exceptions). It bums me out but I have not been able to find a better solution.

I still plan on posting photomanipulations based on stock found here on deviantArt. I also plan on using my model for commissions if a model is requested.

Thanks for understanding.

Commissions

I am again open for commissions. Prices start at $40 and vary depending on the complexity of the photomanipulation. Please note me for details!

Why not add a watermark to them?

Because DA watermarks are gigantic garish splashpanels blanketing the images they are used upon, that do little but distract the eye from the artwork they are meant to "protect".

It's a good thought. I actually did add a watermark to my personal work. The problem is, it didn't stop others from posting them elsewhere. They weren't taking credit for my work but it was being distributed.

your manipulations of your model will be sorely missed. especially by me :( :( :(. but i do understand why you are doing it. i wish people could just not ruin things for others. i love your morphs and your model that you now have to protect was one of the best since you could get whatever pose you wanted to it seemed, plus she was beautiful from what we could still see of what she looks like before the morphs. as i said before i and the entire community will miss these masterpieces and hope so so so so much that we will see them again and new ones of your model, but i understand. only thing i could think of is maybe watermark your works, could that work to bring your manips back and new ones? just a thought. hope to see more from you and i wish those thieves a slow painful torture :D.

They never respect actual work, they just do whatever they please. Sorry about those people. There's not much you can do except the copyright marks and the watermarks. Maybe you can point all the instances where people have used your images and say "go get 'em"

Once again, inconsiderate jerks ruin things for the rest of us. T_T

I put my DA account in my watermarks, so even if my stuff is posted somewhere else, people know automatically where the originals came from. Doesn't stop the posting, sadly, but it makes it easier for tracking.

In all honesty? I think your rose tinted glasses are cracked.
